Requirements

You must deposit $100.00 to open this account

Service Charge

$5.00 monthly charge
Your monthly service charge will be waived if you maintain a minimum daily balance of $100.00 during a calendar month.
Transfers from this account to another account or to third parties by preauthorized, automatic, computer, or telephone transfer, or by check, draft, debit card, or similar order to third parties are limited to six (6) per calendar month.
You will have an excessive debit fee of $3.00 per debit after the first three (3) debits per calendar month.

Statements: Statements on this account are rendered each calendar quarter. You may receive a monthly “Transcript” statement if you have automatic deposits or automatic payments.
Interest Rate: Rate and Annual Percentage Yield (APY) are determined at our discretion. We may change the interest rate and APY on your account at any time.
Interest Earned: The interest earned on this account will be compounded daily and added back to the account quarterly. We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day. Interest begins to accrue on the business day that you deposit noncash items (for example, checks).

A Certificate of Deposit is a non-negotiable, interest-bearing instrument with which a customer promises to keep his funds on deposit for a specified length of time, thereby earning a guaranteed rate of return.
Regular CD Rates Jumbo CD Rates

Schertz Bank & Trust offers fixed rate, simple interest CDs for different terms and rates. CDs are automatically renewable. Different rates are offered for Jumbo CDs ($100,000.00 or more).

3 Year CD to 5 Year CD

Automatically renewable
Interest paid quarterly back to CD
Penalty for early withdrawal is an amount equal to six month's interest.
Redeemable on day of maturity or within 10 days after without penalty

Jumbo CDs

Automatically renewable
Terms up to 60 months
Interest paid quarterly on one year and higher
Penalties – One month's interest for one, three, or six month CD; three month's interest for 12 month CD and 24 month CD; six month’s interest for 3-5 year CD
